Sergey Prokofiev International Airport Donetsk to Host Routes CIS Forum

The Route Development Group (RDG), one of the largest world air route development companies, officially declared Sergey Prokofiev International Airport Donetsk to be the host airport for the air forum Routes CIS 2013.

Routes CIS is a global event which forms air transportation industry trends. In different years, it involved top-managers of large airports and air companies, suppliers of goods and services, investors, representatives of international and regional associations, national touristic organisations and mass media. The forum that will take place in Donetsk on July 21 to 23 is expected to gather over 250 delegates.

During Roues CIS 2013, Donetsk will host a conference, an industry trade fair, briefings and seminars, teleconference bridges with experts from various countries. The event will not follow traditional formats; the forum will be built on pre-scheduled twenty minute business meetings which will provide the air industry top-managers with a real opportunity to establish new contacts and strengthen the existing ones. The founders and top-managers of the largest world air companies, famous air industry experts and the representatives of the touristic sphere have already confirmed their participation in the meeting in Donetsk. Besides, the forum will be attended by the top-officials of Ukraine and the representatives of large business.

Sergey Prokofiev International Airport Donetsk is one of the three largest airports in Ukraine. The new terminal with the area of 58,000 sqm has 38 check-in desks, 6 self-check-in desks, 42 passport control posts, 18 aviation security control posts. International Airport Donetsk renders the entire set of services, including ground handling operations, fuelling, technical maintenance and cleaning of aircrafts, in-flight catering etc. Due to our take-off runway with the length of 4,000 m, width of 60 m and coating thickness of 1 m, equipped with state-of-the-art airway lighting, the airport allows all types aircraft at zero visibility and in any weather conditions. According to the specialists, Donetsk airport’s take-off runway is the most modern in Ukraine and one of the best in Europe.
